The Gems currency was the third currency to be introduced into Smash Karts, in the 3.0.0 update in 2023. Gems are used to buy: Coins, Character Tokens, Smash Passes, Seasonal Spins and Season Items.
Gems were introduced in the 3.0.0 update and changed a lot of Smash Kart's mechanics. The main purpose of Gems is to purchase the Smash Pass for 600 Gems, which unlocks the premium track of the season track. You can also buy other currencies (Coins and Character Tokens) with Gems. Additionally, you can also spend your Gems on the Season Spin. These will yield special items only available in that spin - it is not possible to get duplicates. Sometimes items will get released that are available exclusively for Gems - these usually cost 100-300 Gems and are independent from Seasons.
You can obtain Gems in the following ways:
Spinning the Gems spin. When spinning the Gems spin, you have a chance of receiving one of the following Gems rewards:

10 Gems
20 Gems
50 Gems
Spinning the Common/Daily spin. When spinning the Common/Daily spin, you have a chance of receiving one of the following Gems rewards:

7 Gems
Season Track. In the Season Track, the following Gems rewards will be available:
